Impatica for BlackBerry Enterprise Server is the solution for viewing animated, graphically rich Microsoft PowerPoint presentations on BlackBerry handhelds. It seamlessly converts PowerPoint e-mail attachments messages into a format compatible with the BlackBerry, so that PowerPoint attachments can easily be received and viewed on a BlackBerry handheld.

They no longer have to wait to use their office computer to see what they’re missing. A Seamless User Experience

When BlackBerry users receive a PowerPoint attachment in their e-mail, they simply select View Attachment, then sit back and watch the presentation, which may feature rich text, images, charts, graphs, animation and slide transition effects. Presentations are automatically resized and oriented to best fit the target BlackBerry screen. In addition, a navigation menu allows users to advance back and forth between slides.

How it Works

Impatica for BlackBerry Enterprise Server converts Microsoft PowerPoint e-mail attachments into a compact format suitable for viewing on BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds.

It consists of two components:

• Impatica for BES Server Software runs on a server with or independently of your BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
• The Impatica Attachment Handler runs on each BlackBerry handheld on which PowerPoint attachment viewing is desired.

When a BlackBerry handheld user receives notification of an e-mail message with a PowerPoint attachment and chooses View Attachment, the Impatica Attachment Handler sends a conversion request to the Impatica for BES Server Software. The Impatica for BES Server Software then transforms the PowerPoint presentation into a BlackBerry compatible format and file size and sends the converted presentation to the handheld for playback.
